“The truest expression of a people is in its dance and its music. Bodies never lie.” - Agnes de Mille.

Amara’s passion for storytelling began with her introduction to dance and musical theatre in middle school. The emotions she could evoke through movement went beyond words and provided her access to a new dictionary of vocabulary. Amara trained as a dancer and musical theatre performer at NC Dance Institute and NC Theatre Conservatory. She has had the honor of performing with Wake County Public Schools System and Broadway Series South productions of Aida and High School Musical. She has also served as a dance captain and ensemble member in the main stage NC Theatre productions of High School Musical 2 and Peter Pan. Beyond performing, Amara’s is a jazz, musical theatre and tap instructor at Raleigh Little Theatre and NC Dance Institute.
